Christine Patrick, Founder

Christine Patrick founded boutique consultancy Noted Advisory to provide insurance industry participants with management advisory expertise, from investor relations to finance back-office support. Through relationships developed over 20 years of insurance-industry participation with both traditional and technology driven platforms, Patrick has a deep resource network to help meet clients’ needs. 

Since founding Noted Advisory, Patrick has used a strong analytical and technical foundation to assist clients with identifying attractive business expansion opportunities, design and implement the modernization of financial departments, manage and update board and investor communication materials, increase reporting efficiency, and assist management with strategy development built from the financial plan up. 

Before founding Noted Advisory, Patrick had extensive insurance-industry expertise in treasury, investor relations and sell-side analyst roles. Patrick was formerly the Treasurer and Head of Investor Relations at Root, and Head of Investor Relations at both Kemper and National General. Prior to her officer roles, Patrick spent eight years specializing in sell-side research coverage of the insurance sector.  

Patrick has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Southern Methodist University.

Dana Popish Severinghaus, Partner

Dana Popish Severinghaus, Partner at Noted Advisory – a boutique consultancy – brings extensive legal, policy, regulatory, government relations and insurance industry-related experience to her role in helping clients navigate today’s dynamic insurance environment.  

Most recently, Popish Severinghaus served as the Director of the Illinois Department of Insurance. During her time at DOI, Popish Severinghaus increased headcount to better serve the needs of Illinois insurance consumers and companies, and diversified staff to advance equity. She oversaw the passage of state-based marketplace legislation and its implementation, facilitated the creation of a new consumer complaints portal, and led the Department to its successful five-year National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) accreditation.  

During her tenure, she served in leadership roles with the NAIC, including Vice Chair of the NAIC Consumer Participation Board of Trustees, Co-Vice Chair of the Innovation, Cybersecurity and Technology (H) Committee, Co-Vice Chair of the Privacy Protection Working Group, and as a member of the International Insurance Relations (G) Committee.

Popish Severinghaus was formerly Legislative and Regulatory Counsel at Allstate Insurance Company where she advised Allstate and its subsidiaries on legal, regulatory and legislative matters in the Midwest. Before that, she served as Senior Policy Advisor at the State of Illinois in Central Management Services where she oversaw the Bureau of Benefits. Prior to that, Popish Severinghaus was Director of Government Relations for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois.  

Popish Severinghaus served on the board of the Illinois Insurance Guaranty Fund and was a member of the Illinois Insurance Association. Currently, she is an Advisory Board Member and Co-Chair of the Policy & Government Affairs Council for the Chicago Children's Advocacy Center, and a Women in Law Mentor at Chicago Kent College of Law.  

Popish Severinghaus earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies and Journalism & Mass Communications from the University of Iowa and Juris Doctor from Chicago Kent College of Law. 

She lives in Chicago with her husband and two young daughters.
